One of my greatest passions is flowers. For the past three years and for my internship I worked at Shelly Sarver Designs where I have learned the ins and outs of weddings, florals and all things design. I had the chance to create bouquets for brides, centerpieces for large corporations and design styled shoots to help promote Shelly Sarver Designs and many other vendors. I met with brides and helped turn their wildest floral dreams into a reality. I have created floral walls, chandeliers and crowns until all hours of the night to ensure each client was perfectly and wonderfully cared for. I have not only gained skills within the floral industry but also skills such as effective communication, thinking in creative ways to problem solve and how to take clients ideas and deliver something above and beyond what the client could have ever imagined.
Above is a photo of me at a styled shoot that I had the opportunity to help design and execute. For this shoot we had a couple that modeled as a bride and groom. We styled this shoot to help promote the space, the photographer and of course the flowers. Each styled shoot is a combination of a promotional tool as well as a chance to try out new and unconventional ideas. My skills in design and events grew with each styled shoot I was apart of through communicating with the vendors and helping design and style the spaces.
The images scrolling here are some examples of my most recent and creative floral work. pictured are arrangements used for a mothers day pop-up shop, floral jewelry and wedding statement pieces that I created. Through working in the floral industry I have had the chance to be exposed to many other industries as well. I have seen inside industries from weddings to corporate events and everything in-between.
