In addition to being my sorority sister’s go-to stylist for a night out, I’m a pro at picking out the best pieces for others to wear for any occasion and know all the best places to get them. As the in-house stylist for Alexa Karen Photography, I work with Alexa’s clients as an a la carte service to coordinate the perfect looks within their unique budgets so that they don’t have to stress about what to wear to achieve the photos they want. I meet with clients for a one-on-one consultation to get to know them, their vision, and their style before creating their virtual dream closet and photoshoot looks easily accessible online or at a store near them.

The above photo is a screenshot of a mood board I designed using the platform, Milanote for an Alexa Karen Photography senior photoshoot. Alexa wanted me to first create a generalized mood board that captured and communicated the overall essence and style that she wanted to achieve before creating detailed style boards with specific pieces and curated looks for each model.

The photo you see here is a style board for 46 year old, female client looking for dressy/casual outfits for spring and summer. After sending her a general questionnaire asking for sizes, budget, and how she would describe her style, I pulled a variety of items and included direct links for her to shop at. I also gave her brief descriptions of how the different items could be paired and worn together.
